When you form an LLC in New York, your new business is required to publish in two newspapers located within the county you listed in your Articles of Organization. If your listed county is in one of the five that make up New York City, publishing a notice there will be significantly more expensive than, say, Albany.

At New York LLCs, we are a Commercial Mail Receiving Agent (CMRA). Per USPS regulations, all CMRAs are required to file USPS Form 1583 for each Mail Scanning and Virtual Office client.

All you need to do is provide an electronic signature and two USPS-approved IDs—there is no burden on you to print and have the form notarized. Our team will take care of authenticating the form.
